What Figmetric is
Figmetric is a free personal-finance calculator site. The name is the idea: figures + metrics — the numbers behind your money, made easy to see. Every tool is free to use, with no signup and no paywall: enter your numbers, get a clear answer, and see the math behind it.
What you can calculate
- Paychecks & take-home pay — what a salary actually pays per check, and how to plan a full year of paychecks.
- Debt payoff — avalanche vs. snowball payoff plans, balance-transfer analysis, and juggling 0% promotional APRs.
- Investing & retirement — compound growth, Roth vs. Traditional contributions, debt-vs-invest tradeoffs, and your FIRE number.
- Housing — rent vs. buy, mortgage payoff timelines, refinance savings, and home equity.
- Student loans — payoff timelines and the cost of extra payments.
Alongside the calculators, we publish plain-English guides that explain the concepts the tools are built on.
How we work
- Transparent math. The calculators show their work. Our Methodology page explains the formulas, assumptions, and simplifications behind the results, and each tool states its key simplifications next to its results.
- Your numbers stay yours. Everything you type into a calculator stays in your browser — it is never sent to us. See our Privacy Policy.
- Education, not advice. Figmetric is an educational tool. Results are simplified estimates, not financial, tax, or legal advice — verify important decisions with a qualified professional.
- Honest about money. Some outbound links on the site are affiliate links that may earn us a commission. They never affect the math, the results, or the order of anything we show you. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
